About UCLA

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is one of the top-ranked universities in the US and offers a variety of highly-rated academic majors and programs. UCLA’s most revered programs include the engineering programs, the school of law, the school of medicine, and the department of psychology. The university is internationally recognized for its excellence in research, innovation, and academic achievement, making it a hub for intellectual exploration and advancement.

As a Division I school, UCLA has a proud history of NCAA championship wins in a variety of sports. UCLA has the highest number of championships won by any university in the history of the NCAA. UCLA is a member of the Pacific 12 Conference but will be moving to the Big Ten Conference in 2024.

University of California, Los Angeles is a public, state school in an urban setting in Los Angeles, California. UCLA was founded in 1919 and now enrolls around 45,846 students a year, including 31,636 undergrads. UCLA provides housing for students. Most students live in off campus housing.

Is UCLA a Good School?

The definition of a "good school" is different for different people. Admissions criteria, acceptance rate and average GPA are good indicators of how selective an institution is, but they don't say much about the quality of the education or the student experience.
