Question: Can I apply to Yale using Single Choice Early Action and SUNY Binghamton via Early Action? I live in New York.
Yale's Single Choice Early Action policy can be confusing. I guess they figure that, if you're smart enough to figure it out, you're smart enough for Yale. :)
Here’s what Yale says about your situation:
You may apply to a public institution in your home state, even if you will receive an admission decision prior to January 1, but only if the decision is non-binding, meaning that you have until May 1 to respond.
Since New York is your home state and the Binghamton Early Action option is indeed non-binding and allows you to wait until May 1 to commit, you CAN apply to both Yale and SUNY Binghamton via Early Action.
Good luck!
