Visit Activities:

Information Session: Yes - The officer didn't seem like she knew what she was talking about and was easily flustered. Also not very useful for those who've already applied or for transfer applicants.

Campus Tour: Yes - Pretty good.

Classroom Visit: Yes - The schedule provided by the admissions office said the class was Calculus III, but it was actually just College Algebra. The professor was funny, though.

There are some beaches sort of nearby and some stores and stuff. Didn't get to see the area much. On the urban side, I think.

Campus Visit Notes for University of California, San Diego

Visit Description:

Dining was decent (a lot better than some places!), but not the best, either.

The library was amazing. It's in honor of Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss), and not only does it have a statue of Seuss and the Cat in the Hat outside, but it's also got an almost Seussian architectural style. Look up "Geisel library UCSD" on Google if you want to see a picture.
